Malta lost to Estonia (1-4) in the first of a double friendly that marks the end of this week's training camp for the Malta National Futsal Team.


Zeljko Anicic’s men were the better side during first half where the even opened the score thanks to a goal by Jean Noel Azzopardi.  However Estonia did not only level but also scored another three goals in second half to emerge victorious.

 

The second of this friendly double header will be played tomorrow at the National School of Sport in Pembroke at 13:00hrs.  

 

These friendly matches will prepare the team for the upcoming preliminary round leading to the qualifying group for the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup,  The preliminary round will be played between the 4th and 13th of April.
