Birkirkara maintain a two-point lead over Hibernians after a 1-1 draw in Sunday's top-of-the-table clash.

The Stripes had Alejandro Mendoza Corujo sent off after just eleven minutes. The game seemed heading for a draw with Rodolfo Soares being sent off for Hibernians three minutes from time.

Birkirkara managed to break the deadlock on the 90th through Haruna Shola Shodiya but two minutes in added time, Clayton Failla converted a penalty to level matters. Paul Fenech was then sent off for Paul Zammit's side.

In another match, Tarxien Rainbows defeated Mosta 4-2.
