Two late goals sink gallant Malta U21s

Two goals scored in the last five minutes of the match spoiled Malta U21s' gallant performace in the first of the U21 qualification matches. Though the Poles had the better of the possession in the first half, the Malta team played at par to their opponents, and gave as much as they conceded creating as many scoring opportunities as their hosts did. Poland however started to pile up the pressure on the Malta rearguard soon after the resumption of play, but keeper J.Borg, and the post, kept the hosts at bay until the dying minutes. Milik in the 85th minute and Chrapek in the 89th minute then scored the all important goals for the home team.   UEFA EURO Qualifier Under 21 Match   Poland  vs. Malta  FT 2-0 (HT 0-0)   Scorers: A.
