On Sunday 26th May 2013 a group of eleven coach educators from the MFA Technical Centre and others from several clubs travelled to Sweden to participate in another UEFA Study Group. The main topic of this activity, held between 27 and 30 May, was Coach Education.  The tightly-packed programme devised by the Swedish National Association presented our participants with a cross-section of theoretical and practical sessions related to the subject. The group also visited the premises of Boson Sport Institute where the practical sessions were scheduled to be held. The Study Group, which also included participants from Georgia, Armenia and FYR Macedonia, was instrumental in enhancing our educators’ efforts to continue with the upgrading of our courses especially in the light of the latest approval by Jira Panel of the UEFA Elite Youth A Course. All delegations provided power point presentations on Coach Education in their respective countries and this was beneficial insofar as an exchange of experiences was concerned. As with other UEFA Study Groups, this was certainly a good opportunity for our participants to share their expertise with that of other associations as well as benefit from what those associations are doing in their respective countries. Last January and April the Technical Centre also attended two Study Groups. The first was on Elite Football in Portugal and the second on Grassroots Football in Cyprus. There, too, the Maltese groups were made up of MFA staff coaches and coaches from the clubs.
