BOV First, Second and Third Division leagues kick-off

The BOV First Division, BOV Second Division and the BOV Third Division leagues kicked-off this weekend. In Division 1, Lija Athletic and Melita were the only teams to register wins. Lija beat Birzebbuga St. Peter's 3-0 while Melita defeated St. George's 2-0.Hamrun Spartans made a good comeback to hold Zejtun Corinthians in a 2-2 draw. Zebbug Rangers were held in a 2-2 draw by Zurrieq while Gzira United and Pieta Hotspurs shared the spoils in a goalless draw. Msida St. Joseph and St. Andrews ended in a 1-1 draw. In Division 2, newly-promoted Senglea Athletic and Mdina Knights registered wins as they beat Mqabba 4-2 and Kirkop United 2-0. Dingli Swallows lost 1-2 to Pembroke Athleta, Gharghur registered a 4-1 win over Marsaskala while Zabbar St. Patrick defeated Marsa 3-0.In other matches, Fgura United beat Mellieha 2-0 and San Gwann defeated Siggiewi 3-2. In Division 3, Sirens registered a most comfortable 8-1 win over Sirens. Mgarr United beat Marsaxlokk 2-0 while Swieqi United defeated Ta' Xbiex 3-1. Santa Lucia and Luqa St. Andrew's beat Ghaxaq 2-1 and Xghajra Tornados 1-0 respectively.The other two matches ended in 1-1 draws - Kalkara vs Attard and Qrendi vs St. Venera Lightnings.
