Course Aim

The idea to develop and create a football physical trainer course was born from the necessity to broaden the knowledge base regarding the concepts of training methodology. The target is to teach the required competencies to prospective candidates.

Target competencies:

1)    Functional evaluation of football players

2)    Creation of individual and collective physical training programs

3)    Appropriate role within the team and relationship with other staff members

For whom is the Course intended

The course has been developed for prospective physical trainers who will be responsible for the physical conditioning of MFA registered players at all levels. Furthermore, following last indications provided by UEFA, the Technical Centre has decided to extend this possibility to all the coaches in possession of the UEFA A diploma. However, these A-licensed coaches need to sit for a preliminary exam prior to being accepted for the course in order to assess their basic competency in this field of study.
