U*BET FA Trophy: Two First Division sides reach quarter-finals -- Holders eliminated

U*BET FA Trophy holders Hibernians were eliminated from the competition after losing 0-1 to First Division side Pieta Hotspurs. The Hotspurs therefore join another team from Division 1, Gzira United in the quarter-finals who had defeated St. George's 2-1. Champions Birkirkara registered a 4-0 win over St. Andrews while Valletta beat Mosta 3-0. Naxxar Lions eliminated Floriana, defeating them 1-0 while at the Kercem Ajax Ground, Rabat Ajax defeated hosts Kercem Ajax 5-1.  Qormi and Sliema Wanderers, on the other hand, both needed the penalty shoot-out to eliminate Tarxien Rainbows and Balzan respectively. The draws for the quarter-finals will be held on Monday.
