FANTASTIC RESPONSE FROM SCHOOLS TOWARDS REACH OUT CAMPAIGN

There has been a fantastic response from the local State and Non-State Schools to the Reach Out Campaign’s EDUCATION ZONE in relation to May’s UEFA European Under 17 Championship Finals which will be held in Malta.   More than 50 Malta based Primary and Secondary Schools and 14 others from Gozo had sent in their applications until yesterday. There  is great interest on the part of the schools for their students to enjoy The Stadium Experience and the Local Organisng Committee is already almost guaranteed of at least 10,000 young spectators for the early kick-off matches on match-days in the Group Phase. Significant interest has also been registered by the schools to participate in The Exhibition Project. Other schools have also contacted the LOC and asked for an extension on the closing date for application since during these last days they have had their resources focused on the students’ half yearly examinations. The LOC has agreed to extend the closing date for school applications until Wednesday 26th February 2014. Therefore the above numbers are expected to increase.
