MALTA U17s BEAT ENGLISH COLLEGES AT CAPUT MUNDI

The Malta U-17 team beat the England Colleges FA U-18 National Team 5-3 in their opening match from the Roma Caput Mundi tournament this afternoon.     Malta raced into a 5-0 lead with goals from Christian Degabriele, who scored a brace, Aidan Friggieri, Jake Grech and Kieran Nwoko.  After Coach Sergio Soldano effected a number of changes, England Colleges managed to score three times in the final 25 minutes.  Malta's next match is against Italy's U-18 amateur selection (Lega Nazionale Dilettanti) tomorrow, and then they will conclude their  commitments against San Marino.  Malta lined up as follows; Jamie AzzopardiJake GrechNick GhioConnor Borg (c)Christian DegabrieleAidan FriggieriKyrian NwokoJuan CorbalanJoseph MbongCarlos GrechNeil Spiteri Subs; Daniel BuckleJean BorgMikhail SciberrasMiles BeermanIosef MeliMark SciclunaLuke Galea
