While addressing a Press Conference ahead of tomorrow's friendly encounter with Albania national team coach Pietro Ghedin said "The result is always very important. like Albania, we are both working hard and building a squad for the upcoming qualifiers. We will take the result and analyse to use it for our future but more important is that we need to exit the pitch knowing that we have done our duty"  Malta and Albania will meet after five years since the 0-0 draw in a World Cup qualifier at Ta' Qali  "This will be a hard fought match, we are also here to honour our nation, we will do our best and surely we will give our all. This is a moment of transition for the team and unfortunately for the match this bad weather will not help. The ground is all muddy and we are not used to it but I reiterate that we will do our very best to honour the sport and the friendly atmosphere whilst still being competitive like we always do." continued Ghedin. Asked whether the players available for this match will be the full squad on which he will build the team for the EURO 2016 qualifiers Ghedin said "No this is not the full squad as we have 5 or 6 players missing but the substitutes are at par with these players." In form striker Andre Schembri said "I hope I can keep the same confidence I currently have whilst playing with my club, in my matches with the national team, but as you know the level reached on the field of play at international level differs to that at club level. So it wont be the same. My objective will always remain to do what the coach says and my aim is to reach the objective of the national team for this friendly match" Returning Manny Muscat added "Its always good to be called back to the national team but most importantly is for one to play well and get the result that we want to get in this friendly game for our national team tomorrow night" This will be the eight meeting between the two countries. In previous encounters Malta has managed one win and two raws
