Attard names squad for Euro U-19 qualifiers

Malta Under-19 coach Wayne Attard has selected a 20-strong squad for the UEFA European U-19 Championship Group 4 qualifiers from October 4-10. The other teams in Malta’s pool are the Netherlands, the tournament hosts, Hungary and Slovenia. Malta’s opening match is against the Netherlands on Wednesday at the Juliana Sportpark in the town of s-Gravenzande. Kick-off is 16.00 In their second game, the Maltese youngsters meet Slovenia on Saturday, also at 16.00, at the same venue as the first match, and end their Group 4 commitments with a match against Hungary on Tuesday, October 10 at 18.00. The match against Hungary will be played at the Sportpark ter Specke in Lisse. The qualifying round is made up of 13 groups of four teams playing in one-venue mini-tournaments.
