Pinktober walk for life

 As part of the activities supporting the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation (ABCF) campaign ‘Give Cancer the Boot’, the MFA represented by the Women’s Football Sector, participated in the ‘Pinktober Walk for Life’ event on Sunday 5th October.   The activity yet again proved to be a popular attraction, given the publicity given recently by the ABCF, Hard Rock Cafe Malta and the MFA, not the least for its significance in raising an awareness related to breast cancer and the need to stamp out the fear factor that such a condition may generate. Among those participating in the walk was Mrs. Michelle Muscat, the Prime Minister’s wife, together with our Women’s National Team accompanied by Zepp, the adopted MFA dog mascot of Malta’s national teams,and even a strong representation by the new women’s team Swieqi United FC. The event was organised by Hard Rock CafeMalta in collaboration with ABCF and the MFA Women’s football sector supported the event and provided an entertaining warm-up by thewomen’s national team for the race participants after which they also joined inthe walk. The MFA profusely thanks Hard Rock Cafe Malta and the Action for Breast Cancer Foundation for organising the event, the clubs and players for providing such anactive support.
