Funds allocated to Nurseries in Gozo

During an event held on Tuesday afternoon at the Gozo Stadium, 10 Gozitan football nurseries, were presented funds attained through solidarity payments.

The presentation was made by Malta FA President Bjorn Vassallo, in the presence of the Gozo FA President, Dr Samuel Azzopardi, and other association officials, together with the management of the Gozo Youth FA.

In a short address to those present, the Malta FA President spoke about the importance of long-term investment in the grassroots of football to ensure a stronger foundation for football clubs and reiterated the Malta FA's stance to continue supporting football nurseries all over the country.

Dr Samuel Azzopardi on behalf of the Gozitan football community welcomed MFA President Bjorn Vassallo and commented that any investment in football nurseries is also an investment in our children's present and future and an investment in our society's well-being.

He commended the dedication of the GFA member clubs for believing in youth development and closed his address by thanking the Malta FA for the distribution of funds as these will further assist the football nurseries in their daily mission.
