Maltese Officials Appointed for UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League Qualifiers

FIFA referee Matthew De Gabriele has been selected to officiate the UEFA Europa Conference League Second Qualifying Round match between HNK Hajduk Split (CRO) and HB Tórshavn (FRO). Assisting him will be FIFA Assistant Referees Jurgen Spiteri and Mitchell Scerri, with Andrea Sciriha serving as the fourth official. The match is set to take place on Thursday, July 25th, at the Poljud Stadium in Split.

Elsewhere, other Maltese referees will also be in action. FIFA Referee Philip Farrugia will be officiating the UEFA Europa League Second Qualifying Round match between FC Corvinul Hunedoara (ROU) and HNK Rijeka (CRO) in Sibiu, Romania. He will be joined by FIFA Assistant Referees Alan Camilleri and Luke Portelli, with Alex Johnson serving as the fourth official. This match will also take place on Thursday, July 25th. Notably, the UEFA Europa League match will include the use of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology.
